Are You Game? [Volume 2]

Volume 2: Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Greetings and salutations, I am Shinx. And this week we're doing Brawl. In all honesty, I've never really liked this game, alone. But when I play with my buddies it's really fun. I mean this game was made for playing with your buddies and having fun. But when I play alone I don't have as much fun.
This game looks alright. Everything's rendered and it all looks clear. The cut scenes look really excellent in this game, it really shows the potential of the Wii.
As far as story goes, I wouldn't really know. It just feels like a bunch of Nintendo characters just randomly meeting each other and working together. And of course the two big bads in this game are Bowser and Ganon. And it's up to our faithful heroes to stop them.
Gameplay is is what you'd expect  from a SSB game. 2.5D graphics side scrolling action.

The only game where you can see this happening

But when you're playing alone it could get boring. The AI is balanced depending on the difficulty
and the controls are good. But this game is better when playing with friends. I when i play alone I have some fun, when i play with my buddies I'm having a blast. Screaming and cursing at your friends for killing you, yelling Darn right, who just got owned.

The story mode is called the Subspace Emissary. As I've before it just feels like a bunch of Nintendo characters just randomly meeting each other. Well most of the characters have people to save. Like Mario has to save Peach and so on. There's also split paths in story mode. If you get a screen saying you have to choose one of two people, you have to choose one of them. So that's some replay value if you haven't already played as that character. And if you're wondering who my favorite character is, no, it's not Zero-Suit Samus. It's Ike as a matter of fact.

Be quiet and it will be over soon
There's also lots of collectables in this game. Ranging from trophies to theme music and so forth. And if you want to play as certain characters you have to either unlock them in Subspace Emissary or to do challenges that you can unlock them.
You could also play online using NIntendo wi-fi. It's fun considering you're playing against people and not against AI. But it lacks that feel, as i've said before, of having you're friends around and playing with them, no pun intended.
So, now it's time to give this game a rating. I want to give this game two ratings. One for multi-player and one for single player. For single player i will give it a good 7 out of 10. It's fun but it will get kinda boring after a while. For multi-player I will give it a nice 9 out of 10 for endless laughs and fun. Well i guess this is the end, but for now. BE WHO WANT TO BE, BARBIE GIRL.
