Volume 8: Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
Miles Edgeworth, doesn't that name just scream awesomeness. Well Shinx here and today we will be reviewing Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth. This game is pretty damn awesome. Any person who plays Ace Attorney should definitely pick this game up.
You play as Miles Edgeworth as he tries to solve five investigations. The first one has you trying to find out who was responsible for the murder in your office. The second one has you on an airplane trying to investigate a murder. The third one has you trying to solve a kidnapping and a murder. As for the fourth and fifth ones, you go back in time and you witness arson. This is definitely a PW game.
The game itself includes walking around, searching for clues, and interrogating potential suspects. The main part of the game involves you debating with another person over what is and what isn't, during which, you can press them for more answers and show them evidence which can break their logic. You have a health bar that goes down if you show a person wrong evidence or say something wrong. And when your life bar is empty the case ends and the truth is lost for eternity. You also gather logic throughout the game. Whenever you find something startling or out of place it goes into the logic section. There you connect two points of logic so it all makes sense. But if those points are wrong you lose health. You also have to gather evidence to break other peoples line of logic.
Some of the debates you have with other people are pretty easy, but some are quite challenging. And color me retarded but i once was stuck on one debate until my whole health bar was depleted. I also like how bluntly the game ends once you lose your life bar. "And thus the truth was lost for eternity". That seems rather harsh, doesn't it? And this game, let alone the whole series, seems more fit to be an anime than an actual game.
And with that all said it's time for a rating. It's a solid 8 out of 10. It's an all around good game but it's to short, and nothing seems to pop. And the games cut scenes are pretty long. Not Metal Gear Solid long, but pretty long. Not much to complain about, but it could've been better. And with that I shall end with a picture.
You might be asking, "Is this a man or a woman?" If you guessed woman, I have some bad news for you |
