On the 3rd day of Over 9,000 Week a Wee Shinx Gave to Me...
SCREW THIS LOGO
So everyone it's Shinx, and today we'll be tackling one of my most hated games. Wii Sports. This game was packaged with the Wii when it first came out and still even today. But unlike Mario this is just an average game with not a lot special about it.
Wii Sports is a composition of five sports minigames. Some are good and some are bad. My favorite one is tennis. It's easy, fun, and sometimes very competitive if playing with a friend. But you can't control the player as it automatically moves to where the ball lands.
The bowling game is okay too. It's very simple and very easy and just about anyone can pick it up. But it can boring cause all you do is just fling your arm at the screen, well all of the games here require you to do that.
All you do in the baseball minigame is just throw and swing. Hit detection is fairly well and way easy to get a home run. One complaint is that you can't control your outfield and the other team is batting.
Golf kind of sucks. And by "kind of" I mean a lot. You swing to light, it barely makes it, swing to hard and you overshoot it. There's a swing meter with a shaded area that shows how hard you're supposed to swing. But most of the time you overshoot it. This minigame is not a lot of fun. And as for the boxing one, get a copy of Punch Out or Fight Night and play those as opposed to boxing in this game.
So that's all the games for Wii Sports. My personal rating will be a 6 out of 10. 3 out of the 5 games are good, but not great. The game is just a showcase for the Wii's motion control, which in itself is not much.
