Are You Game? [Volume 1]

Volume 1: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Hello everyone! Shinx here. So you're wondering what I'm doing here, aren't you? I'm here to review Nintendo games, whether they are good or bad. This is my first review, so please go easy on me as I'm new to doing this. Let's get started with my review of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Let me just say that this game looks amazing. The visuals and graphics are some of the best you can find on the Wii. I also find the water effects to be good. The character and monster design has a lot of resemblance to Ocarina of Time, but has it's own feel. Lots of this game reminds me of Ocarina of Time, but that's not a bad thing.

Without giving away too much of the story, it has Link, of course, trying to save Zelda from the evil clutches of Ganon. You know,  I always felt sad for Link. I mean he never gets a girl. Every Zelda game there's Zelda, and that other girl in Link's village. Mario has Peach, Nathan Drake has Elena, and Niko Bellic has like six different girls. But Link, nawww. Zelda just gives him a thank you.

Gameplay in this game is what you'd expect from a Legend of Zelda Game. Hacking and slashing your enemies, hard but interesting puzzles, and a decent plot. If you play this game you have better have some time on your hands. I've clocked 50 hours in this game and I'm still on the second-to-last dungeon. At times gameplay gets repetitive, and you feel like you've done the same stuff over and over. I also don't like the forced wolf parts. I just don't like being Wolf Link. In fact, I think you could've made the game cutting those parts out together. The only thing I liked about being the wolf was that I could move faster across the mainland. I also wish there was a jumping button. I mean, what if you accidentally go off a ledge? Well sucks for you, you're butt's going straight to the bottom.

And what about voice acting? I know what you're gonna say. it's Zelda, and it's not tradition. I just feel it would make a better addition to the games, but if only the voice actors are good. As long as it's not a person who dubs anime's on 4Kids, I'm okay.

So it's time to give this game a rating. I rate this game a nice 9 out of 10. It's a very good game indeed, but there's so much things and moments that made me want to claw my eyes out. But still a good game.

Well thats the end of my review, so i'll so you guys next time, and remember. STAY GOLD.

On a side note. Skyward Sword is said to be a prequel to Ocarina of Time. Thanks Nintendo for confusing us even more.
