8/05---Complete Burn, Manaphy, Pokedex News, Junichi Masuda, CoroCoro Preview!

Old McDonalds had a Pokemon Event in Japan...

Well in Japan, it appears that the resteraunt McDonalds Wi-fi connection will be giving away a few different pokemon to your Generation IV Games (D/P/PL/HG/SS).

Event # 1: Liberty Ticket---Victini Move Revealed
There will be a Wi-Fi event where you can obtain the Liberty ticket, which will take you to catch Victini in a way TBA. The big news however, is that Victini will know a move entitled Complete Burn. The attack stats are currently not known.

Event #2: Manaphy Again?
Manaphy, the first special legendary of Gen. IV, which was given away like 4 years ago is making a long-awaited return, and not even from your Pokemon Ranger games! McDonalds will be giving away Manaphy with the moves Aqua Ring, Water Sport, Heart Swap and Water Pulse and will hold a Lansat Berry. This event will run from August 14th-September 12th.

Pokedex Update

Junichi Masuda

This may come as a shock, considering the last generation of Pokemon, but Generation V will only feature Gen V pokemon pre-national dex. So that means that we may have few if not no new (pre)evolutions. This was revealed yesterday on Junichi Masuda (the director of Game Freak)'s blog. He wanted to create a new experience for both veterans and newcomers alike, similar to Gen. I's pokedex. This is the first time in 5 generations of Pokemon that this has happened. Isshu seems to be following a similar vibe of Hoenn which had many, many, many new pokemon which are now staples in the series (Milotic anyone?).
